Dion is an educator and school counsellor with over 15 years experience helping children, teens and families thrive in school and at home. She’s also a mom to three children, ages 11 and under, so she understands just how hard parenting can be! As a parenting consultant, she believes all parents are doing the best they can. When parents fall short – which we all do, frequently – it takes strength to ask for help, seek advice, and implement some new strategies.
Dion holds a Bachelor’s of Education in Secondary Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology. She has worked with children from preschool to high school and have a background coaching adult learners. As a parenting consultant, she applies her expertise in child development, education and counselling to help parents discover solutions that fit their family.

I stem from a highly collaborative and strength-based approach in order to make you feel involved and supported.
It is my belief that in order to make a true impact, there needs to be collaboration with multiple people who impact an individual’s life. Working with, and collaborating with parents, families, teachers, and involved healthcare professionals is a key step towards making positive change. The relationship that is created during an assessment needs to have a foundation of trust, respect, and compassion.
My goal for anyone who walks through my door is that they leave feeling more confident, understood, supported, and equipped with the knowledge they need in order to better learn, grow, advocate, and making positive changes.
I have multiple years of experience supporting individuals, families, and schools through the challenges they face and have a strong appreciation for the challenges you may be experiencing.
